Evidence-informed sleep support for babies and young children

Guidance grounded in research and designed around your child’s temperament, your family dynamics, and the realities of everyday life. Because better sleep isn’t one-size-fits-all.

You’re in the right place if you’re:

  • Exhausted by frequent night wakes, short naps, or constant settling

  • Tired of advice that doesn’t fit your child or your family

  • Looking for gentle, research-informed support that makes sense in real life

Sleep isn’t just a baby issue. It’s also a family systems issue.

Your child’s temperament, feeding, family dynamics, and daily life all shape what happens at night. That’s why generic advice falls short, and why my support looks at the whole picture.

If you’ve made it to my page, I’ve likely been where you are.

Hi, I’m Jen, The Sleep Sociologist.

I’m also a parent to two previously challenging sleepers, so I know how exhausting it can be when sleep starts to affect everything - your capacity, your confidence, your relationship, your mental load, and your sense of self. I also know how unhelpful it feels to be given advice that sounds simple on paper, but doesn’t fit your child or your real life.

That experience shaped the way I now support families.

I help families with babies and young children aged 0 to 5 years create long term sustainable change to get both you and your little one more sleep. Envision calmer nights and more predictable rhythms, without rigid formulas or one-size-fits-all plans.

My approach looks beyond routines and wake windows. I consider your child’s temperament, feeding, family dynamics, support system, workload, and the realities of everyday life, because sleep happens within a whole family, not in isolation.

I bring a Bachelor of Social Science in Sociology and Psychology, a Diploma of Community Services, certification as a Sleep Consultant, and more than a decade of experience in community services.

My program is evidence-informed, practical, and tailored to your family. No generic advice. No shame. Just thoughtful, grounded ongoing support that helps you achieve predictable nights in a way that feels doable and sustainable.
